Local walks

Step out of the Dales Haven and you can begin your day’s ramble, leaving your car behind in our car park. There are a number of routes from Leyburn Market Place, taking in the Leyburn Shawl with panoramic views over Wensleydale towards Pen Hill and Middleham Moor.

Further afield

The Dales Haven provides a base to explore the Yorkshire Dales on foot. Routes to Pen Hill and the Three Peaks are within driving distance for day trips. There are also waterfalls to visit, including the Aysgarth Falls, a short drive from the Dales Haven and Hardraw Force near Hawes.

For cyclists, we provide dry overnight storage for you bicycles in our double garage.

Whether you’re using the Dales Haven as your base or a stop-over on your tour, cycling along the local roads of Wensleydale and the Yorkshire Dales provides a great way to get closer to the countryside around you.

Mountain biking
