Dales Haven Guest House Terms and Conditions

1. It is against the law to smoke in any area of the Dales Haven Guest House.
2. Take-away meals are not allowed in guest rooms because of the risk of spills and odours.
3. For B&B bookings, a non-refundable deposit of at least £10 per person per night is required at the time of booking with a minimum deposit of £20. When booking within 14 days of commencement, a two-thirds deposit might be required.
4. If a B&B booking is cancelled within 14 days of commencement, we will try and re-let. If this is not possible, two thirds of the price is payable.
5. A minimum booking of two nights might be required for Bank Holiday weekends and for the period April to the end of October.
6. Where possible, rooms will be allocated on preference but this is not guaranteed as we are a small guest house and rooms might have to be re-allocated to accommodate other bookings.
7. For Murder Mystery and catered breaks (including Christmas and New Year), a non-refundable deposit of at least £20 per person will be required at the time of booking. The balance is due 28 days before the start of the break. If payment is not made, we reserve the right to re-allocate the accommodation. In the event of cancellation after full payment, if we rebook the accommodation, your remittance less the deposit will be refunded. If we cannot rebook, the hirer is responsible for two thirds of the cost of the break.
8. Bookings start at 3pm on the date of arrival (4pm Mondays) and end at 10am on the date of departure, unless agreed differently in advance.
9. When accommodation is reserved by a person on behalf of another or a group, the person is responsible for the terms and conditions, unless the other parties make separate payments.
10. Anyone causing a nuisance will be asked to leave. All monies owed to the Dales Haven must be paid in full, including payment for any damage, loss of income, extra cleaning or room closure caused by the nuisance.
11. Where spillage occurs requiring extra cleaning or replacement because of damage, the hirer is responsible for the costs.
12. If a room is closed because of contamination by smoking or other nuisance, the hirer must pay two thirds of the double room tariff for the period of closure.
13. Where payment is required for cancellation, damage, extra cleaning, loss of income or room closure, the hirer agrees to payment being taken by credit or debit card.
14. No person under the age of 18 shall stay in the accommodation without parent or guardian.
15. No person who is suffering from any infectious disease shall stay in the accommodation.
16. The Dales Haven is absolved from all liability for the loss or damage to personal property, including cars and contents in the car park or any vehicles or other items left in the garage.
17. We are unable to accommodate dogs* or other pets.

* Guide dogs are accepted.
